It took awhile but I am finally at one thousand hits. I know that some sites take awhile to catch on (which is the case here) but I still take it as a blessing that a thousand people (some duplicates) have logged on to see what I have to say about the faith, family, and the world in general. I’m a slow learner. I fail to catch on to good things at first so I understand why it might take a few more months to get people on the site. Tell your friends. This is good stuff.

I have been wrestling with a passage in scripture lately from Philippians’s. In my life God has told me time and time again (through that still great voice) that I will do great things for the kingdom. I can recall countless number of instances in which God has delivered me from bondage of sin and let me see His hand work for His glory by releasing me. The gospel will always be delivered through my voice. As long as I speak, the love of Christ will come out. I know it sounds powerful but lives are being changed and I am just a spectator to His movement. I think we forget as pastors that when we speak the word, the Holy Spirit speaks. That’s the voice of God! God has placed a passion for the word in my heart. I’m not afraid to tell the world. I love sharing what God has done, what He is doing, and what He will do. His awesome power in clear in my life.

The writer tells me in Philippians’s that he, “Rejoiced greatly in the Lord…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

I find myself content with me and where I am. However, even though I am content I know that there are others who are miserable because they are living in sin, longing to hear the gospel.” Their heart and flesh cry out for God’s voice to penetrate their hearts and deliver them from the pit of hell. Who is speaking these words to them?  It is my (and your) job and responsibility to convey the gospel of Christ so that others can experience the true joy of Christ. I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, are you? I’ll preach it on the rooftops. If you won’t tell the greatness of the Lord who will? Call me, I’ll do it for you! Think about it.

I will do everything through Christ, He is my strength.
