A Peace That Never Passes

When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.” -Unknown

Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem. Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.” -Zachariah 2:13

Right now with everything that is going on, I need encouraged.  I’m beat up and busted.  I’m broken and upset.  I’m tired and bruised.  Maybe our Pastor was right this morning, I need a break….

I find that in my walk, I often want to “call down fire from heaven” (see Luke 9:54), but for some odd reason, God keeps saying “no”, be patient, stay encouraged.  In the many attributes of God, the one thing that I always see if His ability to encourage my heart.  Even though I just don’t think I can make it anymore, God pulls through with an encouraging word.

Think about it.

If we are facing problems, struggles, and burdens, our desire is to dwell on those things and bath in our negativity.  How wretched is our sin nature!  It (our sin nature) desires that we would rather sit and sulk in our sad situation than rejoice in the blessings of God.  I don’t know where you’re at, but perhaps the problems in your life have outweighed the pros or maybe the cons have overtaken the joy that was once in your heart.  I can assure you God wants to uplifted that heart.  His desire is to get your beat back to doing His will, encouraged and uplifted, ready to fight again.

Understand, God still encourages hearts.

Mine, yours, and the bodies.

We must never forget that all our confidence and hope has to be in Christ Jesus before we collapse in chaos.  If we can endure the discipline, if we can remain faithful in the process (even though it seems sometimes unbearable), God will be merciful in His justice and reward us in His righteousness.  It might ever be apparent in this life, but in eternal realms we will shine like stars because of our continuation of laboring for the kingdom.

It’s all worth it in the end.

I promise.  God promises.

We must change our prospective to engage in seeing the final outcome.  Together we must encourage, as God is encouraging us, to see that the battle is worth fighting.  We must boast in God’s wonderful plan for our life and rejoice that He alone knows the outcome and know that it all is “worth it”.  Only He can help us prosper, only He has our well being in mind as He encourages and guides our life, only He can promise, to those who believe, a everlasting hope and a glorious future.

It’s a peace that passes all understanding.

I’m praying, please do the same for me.

Be encouraged in Christ.
