Ministry Tools: Bible Reading Plans

I have been pushing our students this year to get more into the Word of God.  The biggest thing we stress at GeNESIS  is giving students the ability and opportunity to say they have read through the entire Bible.  So often we want students to go deeper and deeper into the text but forget that they haven’t done a simple read through first.

If you want to get a point across about a certain book or chapter, it helps to know the context.

The following Bible reading plans are for an individual to read the Bible from cover to cover in a short period of time at an accelerated pace.  These plans are not intended for a deep study of the text but a contextual study.  We have our students start with the New Testament plan and then get them into the Old.  While you may do something different, we are pushing our teens to just read the book at this pace.

They need a challenge.

In the end, it is an awesome thing to hear high school and junior high youth say they have read the entire Bible before they graduate.

Questioning the pace?

Listen, if your students can read all the Twilight and Harriet Potter series in a weekend, they can read the Bible in 95 days.
